“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” Carl Rogers
I provide relationship counselling & psychotherapy to couples and individuals who know they can have better relationships, but are not quite sure HOW.
Whether you are currently in a relationship or not, My aim is to enable & help you to get to the root of what is preventing you from leading your relationships and your life as you would wish, and discover how to make changes for an emotionally happier and healthier life.
Please watch this short video presented by Hedy Schleifer to get a feel of the sort of work I can invite you to do: The Relational Space by Hedy Schleifer’s (TEDtalk)
I hope you will find the information here useful. If you have any questions or need more information please don’t hesitate to contact me. I will share my expertise and experience with you and together we will explore if and how I can help YOU.
I have the tools to coach, support and assist you on the journey to a more fulfilling, deeper and loving relationship.
Together, we will get to the root of what is preventing you from leading your life as you would wish. You will learn new skills that will help you break free of old patterns and create more satisfying relationships with yourself and others.
I work with couples and individuals and offer both short-term and open-ended counselling and psychotherapy.
For couples in crises / couples who cant do regular weekly slots, or come from afar, I also offer private intensive sessions (two day long sessions). The intensive transforming experience is designed to lead couples from conflict to connection, deepen intimacy and shed clarity over the core elements that drive power struggles and cause disconnection and pain in a relationship.
In a structured, personally tailored process you will be taught, guided, empowered and challenged to see previously unseen elements in your relationship and experience new unfolding possibilities for your connection. You will leave with fresh insights, boosted energy and new tools to better your relationship.
If you wish to further your knowledge and skills in working with couples and relationships I would be honoured to accompany and guide you as you reflect and explore your work. I strive to encourage my supervisees’ individuality, and in a safe environment to provide opportunities for development.
Trained at the CSTD (Centre for Supervision and Team Development) I offer face to face and online consultation for individuals and groups.
My approach to psychotherapy is based on the relational paradigm especially Encounter centred Couples Therapy (EcCT), Imago Relationship therapy, Attachment theory, Mindfulness, Interpersonal neurobiology and more.
I am an experienced and passionate therapist and trainer. I am also the Founding Director of the Encounter Learning Centre - an institute dedicated to helping people (professional and non-professionals) make sense of relationships and improve them.
I have a particular interest in Relationship issues and have, for many years now, explored these areas of life. I gained expertise and experience in assisting couples and individuals who face challenges in their relationships.
Holding a master’s degree in Clinical Studies I have had extensive advanced training in relationship and couples therapy. In the last 8 years I have worked closely with Hedy & Yumi Schleifer, organizing, assisting in, and supporting the development and introduction of Encounter-centred Couples Therapy. Their last visit to the UK this year was a very successful event, drawing attention from professionals and the public, and a staggering positive feedback.
I have more than 20 years of professional experience, working in both public and private sectors, and in various fields including Mental Illnesses, Post Trauma and more. I am a senior member of the National Council of Psychotherapists (MNCP, Snr Accred.), a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and work within thier Ethical Framework. Intensives sessions for couples – These are one or two day long sessions for couples experiencing a crisis or coming from afar. You will be coached through a safe and structured journey, tailored to your challenges and needs, in which your understanding and perceptive of your relationship will be transformed. These new eyes you will gain will open up opportunities for you and your partner to deepen and strengthen your relationship and in other cases, in particular for parents, equip you with tools to separate while minimizing pollution and pain.
